We will all at some time in our lives, fall. Life is so very fragile, we are all vulnerable, and we will all at some point in our lives, fall, we will all fall.We must carry this in our hearts, that what we have is special, that it can be taken from us, and that when it is taken from us, we will be tested. We will be tested to our very souls. We will all be tested. It is these times, it is this pain, that allows us to look inside ourselves.

From there, her imagination began to expand on the idea of the suit in our culture. E. Moncell Durden, an Assistant Professor of Practice at USC Kaufman, provided Mims with a collection of his old suits to experiment with. She described that this exploration felt powerful and rebellious in turning the idea of a suit on its head as to why it holds such stature in our modern professional world.

After coming to this understanding, Mims is now working with The HAVEN Global Sanctuary for Dance to bring her project to life. HAVEN works to promote leadership and innovation for the dancers of tomorrow in response to the global pandemic. She was first connected with the organization by Austyn Rich, a fellow Class of 2019 graduate. He hosted a virtual mentorship session with HAVEN that included moderated discussions with Mims and other choreographers.

The Dallas Cowboys rare activity early on in free agency this offseason has thrown the draft process into a complete unknown for the Dallas Cowboy fanbase. What once seemed like a certainty, that the best corner or receiver available was going to be headed to the Cowboys at pick No. 26, is no longer that.

The additions of Stephon Gilmore on a one-year deal, but more precisely Brandin Cooks for an affordable two years, have changed the priority level. This could open the door for a Day 2 prospect like Marvin Mims to find a landing spot with the Cowboys.

Lamb will likely be in Dallas for the long haul and plays mostly out of the slot. Mims is an outside, vertical pass game type who has big playmaking ability, and fits with the other young stud at WR for the future.

STEREOGUM: To go back to what that you said about having a #1 hit and getting a check smaller than what you wanted it to be, is part of that because of the Dr. Dre sample for like two seconds on the song?

Last year, Mims released a mixtape called "Just for F.U.N." She plans to follow that effort with a new collection this year called "Just for Love." Like the lyrics of many rap songs, hers is a mix of stories, brags ... and threats: 041b061a72
