[ back ] 18. Iambē, as we shall now see, is a personification of the iambic tradition, which reflects a ritual discourse that provokes laughter and thereby promotes fertility. This discourse, which makes fun of its targets, is often obscene in nature. The obscenity, it goes without saying, is ritual obscenity.

That's ok but passing a constant smart pointer violates the principle of encapsulation. It exposes the internals of the system.Passing bar to foo also creates coupling. Also in my system it makes sense to aggregate objects to what is called in that question a fluent interface:

Yes, the warmth makes me turn into a rather cheerful maniac, but this year is different. This season of fresh growth, bright eyes, and busy bees is tinged with panic, grief, and fear as COVID moves over the face of the earth.
Thank you for the recipe. I used an arrangement of many edible flowers (pink rose, rose leaf, lily flower, red globe amaranth, jasmine, chrysanthemum forgot to add the orange zest). There is a woman in my life whom reminds me of the goddess Persephone so i really wanted to make this mead for her. I once worked at an apiary and my mother has a pomegranate tree in her backyard so it seems befitting. Thank you so much i am 1 month into fermentation and it already tastes divine
I just recently got into mead making and found this recipe and would love to make it for my friend. I was wondering why you used Lalvin D47 yeast? Its a good yeast no doubt. Especially for sweet meads. I was wondering if you tried it with Lalvin K1-V1116 yeast (supposedly great for fruits and floral meads). Look forward to your response.
The other option is to force carbonate your mead by getting a CO2 keg system. I have even less idea how that works, but I believe the book The Compleat Meadmaker will have info, or you can go check the wiki on /r/mead over on Reddit.
Shortly after the betrothal of Persephone, Demeter was invited to a feast for the gods by the mortal king named Tantalus. King Tantalus wished to express his devotion to the gods and so prepared a massive party in all their honors. He had prayers and formal ceremonies made to each so that they would all show up to attend. Tantalus wished to express his utter devotion to the gods and served them all a special stew he had made for them. Demeter, distraught over the loss of Persephone that year, absentmindedly ate the stew while Tantalus was saying grace to all of them. Tantalus concluded the toast by wishing for them to enjoy the stew which came to him at great personal coast for he had made it out of his son Pelops. While most of the gods were overcome with gasps of disgust or shocked looks, Demeter began screaming with disgust at what she realized she had eaten. Tantalus thought that human sacrifice was expected of him but found that unlike the Titans, who had previously welcomed such offerings, the Olympian gods were disgusted by it. Zeus killed Tantalus and Hades arranged for a particularly cruel punishment for Tantalus that suspended food just out of his reach and water that receded whenever he bent down to drink it. Hecate, goddess of witchcraft, brought Pelops back from the dead and Demeter restored his body from it's remains, however part of his shoulder was missing, the part that Demeter had already eaten, and so the god of the forge, Hephaestus, rebuilt it for him with a metal prosthetic. Pelops would become a house-guest in the halls of Olympus for a few years by the gods to make up for his sacrifice. Ever since the incident Demeter refused to eat any form of meat, though the law of the wild allowed animals to be killed without incurring any malice from her she simply was never willing to trust any meal made of meat after Tantalus' banquet. From that point on Demeter only ever consumed either Ambrosia and Necter made by her sister Hestia, or grain and bran. The confiction of grains and bran would be named "cereal", after Demeter's Roman alias, "Ceres", as it was the only mortal food she would eat.
Atmokinesis: As a Goddess of the Seasons, Demeter could control the weather to a certain extent, such as making it rain, or snow, or cause the temperature to change, however she wished it, Demeter could regulate the seasons altering the over-all environment. She usually allowed other gods like Zeus and Poseidon to make their own weather but had an overriding authority over storms, floods, hurricanes, blizzards and temperature.
A recently developed enzyme has the potential to increase biogas yield by 10% or more. However, the current fermentation process does not yield enough to make it cost effective for industrial deployment.
Hestia is Demeter's younger co-creation and sister, created by Metis along with Hera. They both agreed on a common goal for Persephone to be trained as a sacred virgin, and she even helped Demeter prepare Persephone for this role presumably since the latter's early adolescence. It is hinted that Hestia may know that Persephone is a fertility goddess, as she was seen with a guilty look on her face when she noticed the flower bloom from Persephone's powers. It is unknown why Hestia agreed to help Demeter make Persephone a sacred virgin, other than possibly wanting to protect her from being used as Zeus's pawn in a political marriage. Despite the two's supposed closeness, Demeter chose not to go to Hestia for help after Zeus put out an arrest warrant for her, stating that Hestia was a snitch.
Persephone soon arrives at Olympus and the two would not meet again for many weeks. When Demeter arrives on Olympus, she makes it a point to visit but is unaware she was actually missing. To prevent her from finding out, Artemis and Eros ask Hera to disguise herself as Persephone and Demeter is fooled by the disused and goes to lunch with her. When news of about Persephone's act of wrath is release, she quickly goes into hiding and arrives to see Hecate and discovers she has seen Persephone.
When Thanatos begins his testimony, Persephone makes eye contact with her mother which frightens her and causes her to look down in fear and panic. Demeter would hear how Hades had been giving Persephone "special treatment" from Hades and much to her horror, discover that Persephone had nearly been strangled in Tower 4. While Persephone tells Demeter she was fine, she secretly panics at the fact Demeter now knew what happen. As Thanatos reveals that Thetis was the one who came up with the idea to report Persephone so Hades would leave Persephone to get back with Minthe, Demeter once again is staring at Persephone.
As Zeus reveals to have Persephone's ledger that Thanatos stole from her room, he claims to have found "proof" that Persephone was undermining Hades. As Persephone explains the plans in the ledger were not to undermine Hades but a project she wanted to present to Hades, she reveals she doesn't want to return to Olympus or the Mortal Realm once the trial was over. Demeter is furious to discover this and questions Persephone about spring to which Persephone claims that the realm didn't need her, which only angers Demeter even more. Persephone claims she could make a difference in the Underworld if Hades accepted her help. As Hades goes through her plans and ask if her drawings were how she saw herself in his realm, Persephone nods despite the disapproving look from Demeter.
After Hades arrives from overhearing a conversation from Apollo and Hephaestus, Persephone confides in him about Apollo's assault on her. As Hades takes her to the Mortal Realm, the two retreat to a childhood vacation home Demeter would take Persephone as a child. When Hades questions Persephone about Demeter to which Persephone simply states she is mad at her and makes Persephone feel as though she could laugh as a result of her life falling apart.
As Demeter leaves to return Cerebrus, who had space from the Underworld to warn Persephone, she worries about Persephone's love for Hades and hopes it has gone away. As Demeter waits for the two at home, she is upset when see the happy couple wet and hugging. Their moment ends as Persephone reunites with her mom and Hades gives the two spaces, giving him a chance to start tea and worry how he is going to get make amends with Demeter. As Hades return with tea, he is distraught to hear Demeter requesting Persephone to leave with her and drops the tea.
Demeter degrades Hades, who remains silent, as she tells him that he is no good for her daughter and should be ashamed for using her gifts, Demeter is only silence when Persephone reveals she is Queen of the Underworld which brings Demeter to tears and questions how Hades could claim he loves Persephone by allowing her to make a deal with Erebos. Not long after, Demeter leaves to return home and is furious over the situation while Hades begins to feel guilt over the Demeter's words. 041b061a72
